	ENERGY ŠKODA POWER has implemented two more projects ŠKODA POWER has commissioned and handed over to the customer – ČEZ, a.s. modernised 110 MW Škoda turbine at Tisova Power Plant in the Western Bohemia. The original ŠKODA turbine was installed in the sixties. The main objective of the project was to reduce unit’s specific heat consumption, to improve thermodynamic efficiency of the turbine and increase its nominal output by 5 MW. The turbine design was also modified, allowing steam extraction for heating purposes. The modernisation also extended the turbine’s service life by 25 years. Other customer requirements included the use of tried and tested equipment, low investment and maintenance cost, operational safety and keeping connections to the existing equipment.
